Curtis Glencross

Curtis Glencross, born on December twenty-eighth, nineteen eighty-two, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey player known for his impactful career in the National Hockey League (NHL). An undrafted talent, he began his professional journey by signing with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim as a free agent in two thousand four, eventually making his NHL debut with the team in two thousand seven.

Throughout his career, Glencross showcased his skills with several teams, including the Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and Washington Capitals. His tenure with the Flames was particularly notable, as he emerged as an effective goalscorer and a beloved figure in the community. In recognition of his contributions off the ice, he was honored with the Ralph T. Scurfield Humanitarian Award in two thousand twelve.

After a season split between Calgary and Washington in two thousand fourteen and fifteen, Glencross faced challenges in securing a new contract with any NHL team, leading him to retire from professional play.
