Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Dacian Cioloș

Dacian Cioloș, born on July twenty-seventh, nineteen sixty-nine, is a prominent Romanian agronomist and politician. He served as the Prime Minister of Romania from November two thousand fifteen to January two thousand seventeen, following his appointment by President Klaus Iohannis after receiving parliamentary approval.

Before his tenure as Prime Minister, Cioloș held the position of Agriculture Minister under Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu from October two thousand seven to December two thousand eight. His expertise in agriculture led to his nomination by European Commission President José Manuel Barroso as Agriculture Commissioner in November two thousand nine, a role he fulfilled from February two thousand ten until November two thousand fourteen.

In addition to his governmental roles, Cioloș is the founder of the Freedom, Unity and Solidarity Party (PLUS), which was part of the larger political alliance USR PLUS from two thousand nineteen to two thousand twenty-one. He also led the Save Romania Union (USR) between October two thousand twenty-one and February two thousand twenty-two, after which he launched a new political party, REPER, in May two thousand twenty-two.

Cioloș's political journey continued as he was elected a Member of the European Parliament in May two thousand nineteen, where he became the leader of the Renew Europe political group. His political influence remains significant, as evidenced by his nomination as Prime Minister-designate in October two thousand twenty-one, although this proposal was ultimately rejected by Parliament.
