Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Daesung

Kang Dae-sung, known mononymously as Daesung and by his Japanese stage name D-Lite, is a celebrated South Korean singer, actor, and composer born on April 26, 1989. He first captured the public's attention in 2006 as a member of the iconic boy band Big Bang, which played a pivotal role in shaping the K-pop landscape.

In 2008, Daesung made his solo debut in South Korea with the hit trot song 'Look at Me, Gwisoon,' which quickly climbed to the top of the charts. His musical prowess continued to shine as he achieved two Top 10 hits on the Gaon Digital Chart, including the digital single 'Cotton Candy' and 'Wings' from Big Bang's album 'Alive' in 2012.

Daesung's success extended beyond South Korea when he released his first solo album in Japan, 'D'scover,' in 2013, followed by a successful Japanese tour. The following year, he released two more albums, 'D'slove' and 'Delight,' with 'D'slove Tour' making him the first Korean solo artist to attract over one hundred thousand fans for two consecutive Japanese tours.

In 2017, he achieved another milestone by holding his first solo Japanese dome tour, performing for over one hundred fifty thousand fans across four shows. His second number one album, 'D-Day,' solidified his status as the second foreign male solo artist to have two consecutive number one albums in Japan, following the legendary Michael Jackson.

In addition to his musical career, Daesung has made a mark in South Korean television, being part of the main cast of the popular comedy show 'Family Outing' from 2008 to 2010, starring in the musical drama series 'What's Up' in 2011, and co-hosting the talk show 'Night After Night' in 2010.
