Daley Blind

Daley Blind, born on March 9, 1990, is a distinguished Dutch professional footballer currently playing for La Liga club Girona. Known for his versatility on the pitch, Blind has effectively taken on roles as a left-back, centre-back, and defensive midfielder throughout his career. He is the son of Danny Blind, a former Ajax defender and manager of the Netherlands national team.

Blind's football journey began at Ajax, where he progressed through the youth ranks and solidified his place in the first team following a successful loan spell at Groningen. During his time at Ajax, he celebrated four consecutive Eredivisie titles, showcasing his talent and commitment to the club.

In September 2014, Blind made a significant move to Manchester United for a transfer fee of thirteen point eight million pounds. His tenure at United was marked by success, as he contributed to the team's triumph in four major trophies, including the FA Cup, EFL Cup, and UEFA Europa League. After a fruitful period, he returned to Ajax in the summer of 2018, where he added another Eredivisie title and the KNVB Cup to his accolades in his first season back.

Blind's career continued to flourish as he secured two more Eredivisie titles before a brief stint at Bayern Munich, where he won the Bundesliga. In 2023, he signed with Spanish club Girona, further expanding his impressive career.

On the international stage, Blind represented the Netherlands from 2013 to 2024, earning over one hundred caps. He was part of the Dutch squad that achieved a third-place finish at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and went on to participate in UEFA Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup, and Euro 2024.
