Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Damon Severson

Damon Severson, born on August seventh, nineteen ninety-four, is a talented Canadian professional ice hockey player currently serving as a defenceman for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the National Hockey League (NHL). Hailing from Melville, Saskatchewan, Severson's passion for hockey ignited at a young age, as he began skating at just two years old and joined a hockey team by the age of four.

Severson's early career saw him play for the Yorkton Harvest in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League and the Melville Millionaires in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League during the two thousand nine to two thousand ten season. His impressive performance led to him being selected in the ninth round by the Kelowna Rockets in the two thousand nine WHL Bantam Draft. In his second season with the Rockets, he achieved a career-high with seven goals and thirty assists, earning the title of Most Improved Player.

In the two thousand twelve NHL Entry Draft, Severson was chosen by the New Jersey Devils as the sixtieth overall pick in the second round. He made his professional debut in the two thousand fourteen to two thousand fifteen season, quickly making an impact by scoring his first NHL goal and point in the same game. Despite facing challenges, including a hairline fracture in his ankle, he concluded his rookie season with five goals and seventeen points in fifty-one games.

Severson's leadership qualities were recognized when he was appointed alternate captain prior to the two thousand twenty-one season, making him the longest-tenured player on the Devils' roster at the age of twenty-six. His international experience includes representing Canada at both junior and senior levels, with notable participation in the two thousand eleven World U-17 Hockey Challenge and the two thousand nineteen IIHF World Championship, where he contributed to the team's silver medal victory.
