Dan Glickman

Dan Glickman, born on November twenty-fourth, nineteen forty-four, is a distinguished American politician, lawyer, lobbyist, and nonprofit leader. He made significant contributions to public service as the United States Secretary of Agriculture from nineteen ninety-five to two thousand one during the Bill Clinton administration. Prior to this role, he represented Kansas's fourth congressional district as a Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives for an impressive eighteen years.

After his tenure in public office, Glickman transitioned to academia, leading Harvard University's School of Government and Institute of Politics. His leadership extended into the entertainment industry as he served as chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America from two thousand four to two thousand ten, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the industry's policies.

Currently, Glickman is a Senior Fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center, focusing on critical issues such as public health, national security, and economic policy. He co-chairs the BPC's Democracy Project and co-leads the center's Nutrition and Physical Activity Initiative, demonstrating his commitment to improving the well-being of the nation.

In addition to his work at the Bipartisan Policy Center, Glickman serves on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger.
