Dan Milisavljevic

Dan Milisavljevic, born on January thirty-first, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished Canadian astronomer and an assistant professor of physics and astronomy at Purdue University. His academic journey began at McMaster University, where he was part of the esteemed McMaster Arts and Science Programme. Graduating in two thousand four, he was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship, which allowed him to further his studies at the London School of Economics.

At the London School of Economics, Milisavljevic pursued a Master of Science in the Philosophy and History of Science, culminating in a dissertation focused on the interpretation of quantum mechanics. His academic excellence led him to Dartmouth College, where he earned a PhD in physics and astronomy in June two thousand eleven. Following his doctoral studies, he served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian.

Milisavljevic's research primarily revolves around observational studies of supernovae and their remnants. His contributions to the field are notable, including his involvement in the discovery of several moons of Uranus—Ferdinand, Trinculo, and Francisco—as well as Neptune's moons Halimede, Sao, Laomedeia, and Neso. His work continues to enhance our understanding of these celestial phenomena.
