Daniel of Moscow

Daniil Aleksandrovich, known as Daniil of Moscow, was born in the year twelve sixty-one and was the youngest son of the renowned Alexander Nevsky. His lineage is significant, as he is recognized as the forefather of all Princes of Moscow, establishing a dynasty that would shape the region's history.

Throughout his life, Daniil played a crucial role in the political landscape of his time. His contributions laid the groundwork for the future of Moscow, and his descendants, known as the Daniilovichi, continued to influence the area for generations.

In addition to his political achievements, Daniil of Moscow has been honored within the Russian Orthodox Church. He has been locally approved for veneration, with dedicated feast days celebrated on the seventeenth of March and the twelfth of September, reflecting his enduring legacy in both religious and cultural contexts.
