Daniele da Volterra

Daniele da Volterra, born Daniele Ricciarelli in the year fifteen oh nine, was a prominent figure in the Mannerist movement of Italian art. Renowned as both a painter and sculptor, he carved a niche for himself through his unique interpretations and adaptations of the works of his contemporaries, most notably Michelangelo.
