Danilo Pereira

Danilo Luís Hélio Pereira, born on September 9, 1991, is a talented professional footballer who currently plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. His journey in football began at Benfica's youth academy, where he honed his skills before making a significant move to the Italian Serie A side Parma in 2010.

Throughout his career, Danilo has experienced various loan spells at different clubs, which ultimately led to his transfer to Marítimo in 2013. His breakthrough came in July 2015 when he signed with Porto for a reported fee of four and a half million euros. During his time at Porto, he made a remarkable impact, contributing to the team's success by winning two Primeira Liga titles and one Taça de Portugal, while also being part of the squad that achieved a domestic double in 2020, amassing a total of 202 official appearances.

In October 2020, Danilo took a significant step in his career by moving to Paris Saint-Germain on an initial one-year loan, which was later made permanent at the end of the season. His time at PSG has further solidified his reputation as a key player in top-tier football.

Born in Guinea-Bissau, Danilo has represented Portugal at various youth levels, including under-18, under-19, under-20, and under-21, where he notably reached the final of the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
