Danny Antonucci

Danny Antonucci, born on February twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-seven, is a multifaceted Canadian animator, director, producer, writer, and voice actor. He is best known for creating the beloved Cartoon Network animated series Ed, Edd n Eddy, along with other notable works such as Lupo the Butcher and The Brothers Grunt for MTV.

Antonucci's journey in animation began when he dropped out of the Sheridan College of Visual Arts to join Hanna-Barbera as an animator. His early career included contributions to iconic series like The Flintstone Comedy Show, Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo, The Smurfs, and Richie Rich. He later moved to Vancouver, where he worked on animated shorts and commercials at International Rocketship Limited, leading to the creation of his first solo project, Lupo the Butcher.

His work for MTV included a variety of bumpers, the series The Brothers Grunt, and the title sequence for the animation showcase program Cartoon Sushi. Antonucci's creativity flourished with the launch of Ed, Edd n Eddy, which became a staple of Cartoon Network programming.

Throughout his career, Antonucci has produced numerous commercials for brands like Converse, ESPN, and Levi's, many of which have garnered prestigious awards.
