Dany Morin

Dany Morin, born on December nineteenth, nineteen eighty-five, is a notable Canadian politician and chiropractor. He made his mark in the political arena by serving in the House of Commons of Canada from two thousand eleven to two thousand fifteen, representing the electoral district of Chicoutimi—Le Fjord as a member of the New Democratic Party.

As a chiropractor, Morin brought a unique perspective to his political career. He was one of five openly gay candidates elected to Parliament during the two thousand eleven election, a significant milestone for representation in Canadian politics. His commitment to LGBTQ+ issues was evident as he served as the NDP associate critic for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and transsexual matters, working alongside lead critic Randall Garrison.

Despite his efforts and contributions, Morin faced defeat in the two thousand fifteen election, losing to Liberal candidate Denis Lemieux. However, he did not step back from public engagement; instead, he launched Monsieur Fulgence, an innovative e-commerce project aimed at promoting local artisans and craftspeople from the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region.
