Daphne Marlatt

Daphne Marlatt, born on July 11, 1942, in Canada, is a distinguished poet and novelist residing in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her early life was marked by a significant move to Malaysia, followed by a return to British Columbia at the age of nine. This diverse upbringing laid the foundation for her literary journey.

She pursued her education at the University of British Columbia, where she honed her unique poetry style and developed her strong feminist perspectives. In 1968, she furthered her academic credentials by earning a Master of Arts in comparative literature from Indiana University.
