Darrell Issa, born on November first, nineteen fifty-three, is a prominent American businessman and politician. He currently serves as the U.S. representative for California's forty-eighth congressional district, having previously represented the fiftieth congressional district from twenty twenty-one to twenty twenty-three. A member of the Republican Party, Issa has had a long and varied career in the United States House of Representatives, serving from two thousand one to two thousand nineteen across two districts in the San Diego area.
Issa's political journey began with his representation of the forty-eighth district for one term, followed by an impressive eight terms in the forty-ninth district. His leadership skills were recognized when he chaired the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee from January two thousand eleven to January two thousand fifteen, where he played a significant role in various legislative matters.
