Daumants Dreiškens, born on March twenty-eighth, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished Latvian bobsledder who has made significant contributions to the sport since his debut in two thousand three. As a brakeman, he has showcased his exceptional skills in various international competitions, earning accolades that have placed Latvia on the bobsleigh map.
One of Dreiškens' most notable achievements came in two thousand sixteen when he clinched a gold medal in the four-man event at the FIBT World Championships held in Igls, Austria. This victory marked a historic moment as it was the first-ever World Championships gold medal in bobsled for Latvia.
