Dave Chartier, born on February fifteenth, nineteen sixty-one, in St. Lazare, Manitoba, is a notable figure in the world of ice hockey. As a Canadian former professional player, he made his mark in the sport during the early 1980s.

Chartier was selected as the one hundred ninety-first overall pick by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, coming from the Brandon Wheat Kings. His journey in professional hockey began with a brief call-up during the 1981–82 season, where he played one game for the Jets and another for the Central Hockey League's Tulsa Oilers.

During his time with the Oilers, Chartier not only scored one goal but also contributed to the team's playoff run that season. Following this, he spent another season in Tulsa before transitioning to the American Hockey League, where he played for the Sherbrooke Jets for two years.

After the conclusion of the 1983–84 season, at the young age of twenty-three, Dave Chartier decided to retire from professional hockey, leaving behind a legacy of determination and skill.
