Dave Tippett

David G. Tippett, born on August 25, 1961, is a distinguished Canadian figure in the world of ice hockey, known for both his playing and coaching careers. Tippett's professional journey began in the National Hockey League (NHL), where he showcased his skills as a winger from 1983 to 1994. During this time, he played for several teams, including the Hartford Whalers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, and Washington Capitals.

Transitioning from player to coach, Tippett took the helm of the Dallas Stars on May 21, 2002, and led the team until June 10, 2009. His coaching prowess was further demonstrated during his tenure with the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes, where he served from September 24, 2009, to June 22, 2017. Under his leadership, the Coyotes achieved notable success, culminating in Tippett receiving the prestigious Jack Adams Award as the NHL Coach of the Year in 2010.

In addition to his accomplishments with the Coyotes, Tippett also took on the role of head coach for the Edmonton Oilers from 2019 to 2022, further solidifying his reputation as a respected leader in the sport.
