David A. Kolb

David A. Kolb, born on January first, nineteen thirty-nine, is a distinguished American educational theorist renowned for his contributions to the field of experiential learning. His work emphasizes the importance of individual and social change, career development, and the nuances of executive and professional education. As the founder and chairman of Experience Based Learning Systems, LLC (EBLS), Kolb has made significant strides in promoting innovative learning methodologies.

In addition to his role at EBLS, Kolb serves as an Emeritus Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, located in Cleveland, Ohio. His academic journey began at Knox College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in nineteen sixty-one. He furthered his education at Harvard University, obtaining both his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in social psychology in nineteen sixty-four and nineteen sixty-seven, respectively.

Kolb's scholarly pursuits have often intersected with those of his daughter, Alice, as they have collaborated on research related to experiential learning.
