David Gaider, born on October twenty-fifth, nineteen seventy-one, is a distinguished Canadian narrative designer and writer, renowned for his significant contributions to the world of video games. He is best known as the lead writer and creator of the rich and immersive setting for the acclaimed role-playing video game series, Dragon Age.

Gaider's career took off at BioWare, a prominent game development studio located in Edmonton, Alberta, where he worked from nineteen ninety-nine until two thousand sixteen. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping narratives that captivated players and set new standards in storytelling within the gaming industry.

After leaving BioWare, Gaider joined Beamdog, another Edmonton-based studio, as their Creative Director. He spent two years there before moving on to new ventures. In two thousand nineteen, he announced his new role as Creative Director at Summerfall Studios, a newly established game developer in Melbourne, Australia. This position marked the beginning of an exciting project titled Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, which was released later in two thousand twenty-three.
