David Monroe

David Monroe, born on April 14, 1941, is a distinguished Canadian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. His journey in the clergy has been marked by dedication and service, culminating in his role as a bishop.

On March 12, 2002, Monroe was ordained as the Bishop of the Diocese of Kamloops, a position he held with grace and commitment until 2016. During his tenure, he worked tirelessly to foster community and spiritual growth within the diocese.

Following his retirement in 2016, he was succeeded by Bishop Joseph Phuong Nguyen, who continues the legacy of leadership and service that Monroe established. His contributions to the church and the community remain a testament to his faith and dedication.
