David Motiuk

David Motiuk, born on January thirteenth, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished Greek-Catholic priest who has made significant contributions to the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton. His journey in the clergy began with his ordination as a priest on August twenty-first, nineteen eighty-eight, marking the start of a dedicated service to his faith and community.

On June eleventh, two thousand two, Motiuk was elevated to the rank of bishop in Winnipeg, a pivotal moment that underscored his commitment to the church. His leadership was further recognized when he was appointed Eparchial Bishop of Edmonton on January twenty-fifth, two thousand seven, and subsequently installed on March twenty-fourth of the same year.

In addition to his role in Edmonton, Motiuk was appointed as the Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of New Westminster on January sixteenth, two thousand twenty.
