Davor Vugrinec

Davor Vugrinec, born on March twenty-four, nineteen seventy-five, is a distinguished Croatian former professional footballer renowned for his exceptional skills as a striker. Throughout his illustrious career, he also showcased his versatility by playing as an attacking midfielder and a second striker, adapting to various roles on the pitch.

Vugrinec holds the remarkable title of being the all-time top scorer in the Croatian First Football League, having netted one hundred forty-six goals for five different clubs. His prowess in front of goal is further highlighted by his record as the oldest player to score in the league, achieving this feat just ten days shy of his fortieth birthday while playing for Slaven Belupo.

After hanging up his boots, Vugrinec transitioned into a leadership role within the football community and currently serves as the vice-president of NK Varaždin. This position marks a new chapter in his career, distinct from his time with the now-defunct Varteks/Varaždin club, where he made a significant impact during his playing days.
