Dean Barrow

Dean Barrow, born on March second, nineteen fifty-one, is a prominent Belizean politician and lawyer who made significant contributions to the political landscape of Belize. He served as the fourth prime minister of Belize from two thousand eight until two thousand twenty, leading the United Democratic Party (UDP) through multiple electoral victories.

Before ascending to the role of prime minister, Barrow held the position of deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs from nineteen ninety-three to nineteen ninety-eight. His political journey continued as he became the Leader of the Opposition from nineteen ninety-eight until the UDP's triumph in the February two thousand eight elections.

Barrow's leadership was marked by his election to a first term as prime minister in two thousand eight, followed by a successful re-election in March two thousand twelve. He further solidified his political legacy with a third term after the UDP's victory on November fourth, two thousand fifteen, showcasing his enduring influence in Belizean politics.
