Deborah Chow

Deborah Chow, born on June sixteenth, nineteen seventy-two, is a talented Canadian filmmaker and screenwriter celebrated for her distinctive voice in independent cinema and her significant contributions to the Star Wars franchise.

Chow's journey in filmmaking began with her award-winning short films, Daypass in two thousand two and The Hill in two thousand four, both of which garnered recognition at various international film festivals. Her first feature film, The High Cost of Living, released in two thousand ten, showcased her dual talents as both writer and director.

In addition to her film work, Chow has made a mark in television, directing the 2014 adaptation of V. C. Andrews' Gothic novel Flowers in the Attic, as well as episodes for popular series such as Copper, Murdoch Mysteries, Reign, Beauty and the Beast, and Mr. Robot. Her directorial prowess was further highlighted in the Star Wars universe, where she directed multiple episodes of the acclaimed series The Mandalorian in two thousand nineteen and helmed all six episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi in two thousand twenty-two for Disney+.
