Declan Rice

Declan Rice, born on January 14, 1999, is an English professional footballer renowned for his role as a defensive midfielder. Currently, he plays for Premier League club Arsenal and the England national team. Rice is celebrated for his versatility, stamina, ball-carrying ability, and tackling skills, earning him recognition as one of the best midfielders in the world.

Rice's professional journey began at West Ham United after being released from Chelsea's academy. By 2017, he had established himself as a key player for the first team. In 2022, he took over the captaincy from Mark Noble, leading the club to a UEFA Europa Conference League title the following year, where he was also honored as the competition's Player of the Season.

After making two hundred and forty-five appearances for West Ham, Rice made headlines in July 2023 when he was signed by Arsenal for a club record fee of one hundred million pounds, making him one of the joint-most-expensive English players in history.
