Dedryck Boyata

Dedryck Boyata, born on November 28, 1990, is a Belgian former professional footballer who excelled as both a centre-back and right-back. He began his senior career with Manchester City in 2010, where he showcased his talent and was honored as the Young Player of the Year for the 2009-10 season.

In pursuit of further development, Boyata was loaned to Bolton Wanderers for the 2011-12 season, followed by a stint at FC Twente during the first half of the 2012-13 season. His career took a significant turn in 2015 when he transferred to Celtic for a fee of approximately one and a half million pounds, where he continued to make a name for himself.

In the summer of 2019, Boyata made a move to Hertha BSC, further expanding his experience in European football. Throughout his career, he has represented Belgium at both youth and senior levels, making his senior debut in 2010. Notably, he was part of the national squad that achieved a remarkable third-place finish at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
