Demarai Gray

Demarai Gray, born on June 28, 1996, is a talented professional footballer who currently plays as a winger for Birmingham City in the EFL Championship. Hailing from England, Gray has also made the decision to represent the Jamaica national team, showcasing his heritage on the international stage.

Gray's football journey began in the youth system of Birmingham City, where he made his Football League debut at the young age of seventeen in October 2013. Over the course of two and a half seasons, he made a significant impact, appearing in seventy-eight matches across all competitions, including fifty-one starts in the Championship, and netting eight goals.

In January 2016, Gray took a significant step in his career by signing with Leicester City, where he was part of the historic squad that won the Premier League in the 2015-16 season. His career continued to evolve as he joined Bayer Leverkusen in January 2021, before returning to English football with Everton in July. Most recently, in September 2023, he made a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq.

On the international front, Gray initially represented England at various youth levels, from under-18 to under-21. Although he received two call-ups to the senior England squad, he did not make an appearance. In 2023, embracing his Jamaican roots, he chose to play for Jamaica and made a notable impact in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup, scoring twice during the tournament.
