Dennis Cholowski

Dennis Cholowski, born on February fifteenth, nineteen ninety-eight, is a talented Canadian professional ice hockey player currently serving as a defenceman for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL). His journey in hockey began in his home province of British Columbia, where he honed his skills playing locally before joining the Chilliwack Chiefs in the British Columbia Hockey League from two thousand thirteen to two thousand sixteen.

Cholowski's career took a significant turn when he was drafted twentieth overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the two thousand sixteen NHL entry draft. Following this achievement, he played in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference with St. Cloud State University, showcasing his potential on a larger stage. He later joined the Prince George Cougars in the Western Hockey League, where he continued to develop his game until a trade sent him to the Portland Winterhawks.

In two thousand seventeen, Cholowski made the leap to the professional ranks, joining the Grand Rapids Griffins, the AHL affiliate of the Red Wings. His NHL debut came in two thousand eighteen, and he balanced his time between the Red Wings and the Griffins until two thousand twenty-one. That year marked another pivotal moment in his career when he was selected by the Seattle Kraken in the NHL expansion draft.

Cholowski's first season with the Kraken saw him navigate a series of transactions, including being placed on waivers and claimed by the Washington Capitals, where he played seven games. He returned to the Kraken and also played for the Charlotte Checkers in the AHL. In two thousand twenty-two, he signed with the New York Islanders, contributing to both the Islanders and their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Islanders, until his trade to the New Jersey Devils in two thousand twenty-five.

In addition to his club career, Cholowski represented Canada West at the two thousand fifteen World Junior A Challenge, where he made a notable impact by registering two assists and helping his team secure a gold medal.
