Devin Setoguchi

Devin Setoguchi, born on January first, nineteen eighty-seven, is a former professional ice hockey right winger from Canada. Known affectionately as 'The Gooch', he has made a significant mark in the world of ice hockey, showcasing his skills on various teams throughout his career.

Setoguchi's heritage is notable; he is half-Yonsei, representing the fourth generation of Japanese Canadians. His journey in the National Hockey League began when he was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the first round, being the eighth overall pick in the two thousand five NHL entry draft.

Throughout his career, he has played for several teams, including the Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets, and Calgary Flames. In September two thousand fifteen, he faced a setback when he was unable to secure a position with the Toronto Maple Leafs after signing a professional tryout contract during training camp. However, he continued his career by joining HC Davos in the Swiss National League A for the two thousand fifteen to sixteen season.

In September two thousand sixteen, Setoguchi made a comeback by making the Los Angeles Kings out of training camp, signing a one-year, two-way contract for the two thousand sixteen to seventeen season. Beyond his playing career, he has also taken on the role of a Sports California/Sharks Playoff live TV analyst, further contributing to the sport he loves.
