Dick Gephardt

Dick Gephardt, born on January thirty-first, nineteen forty-one, is a prominent American attorney, lobbyist, and politician. He served as a representative for Missouri's third congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from nineteen seventy-seven until two thousand five. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Gephardt held significant leadership roles, including House majority leader from nineteen eighty-nine to nineteen ninety-five and minority leader from nineteen ninety-five to two thousand three.

Throughout his political career, Gephardt made notable attempts to secure the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, running unsuccessfully in nineteen eighty-eight and two thousand four.
