Dick Schoof

Dick Schoof, born on March eighth, nineteen fifty-seven, is a prominent Dutch politician and civil servant. He made history by serving as the Prime Minister of the Netherlands from July twenty twenty-four to February twenty twenty-six, during which he led the Schoof cabinet.

Before his tenure as Prime Minister, Schoof had an extensive career in civil service. He held significant positions, including Director-General for Public Order and Safety at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations from two thousand three to two thousand ten, and later as Director-General at the Ministry of Justice and Security from two thousand ten to two thousand thirteen.

From two thousand thirteen to two thousand eighteen, he served as the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism, followed by a role as Director-General of the General Intelligence and Security Service from two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty. His last position before becoming Prime Minister was as Secretary-General of the Ministry of Justice and Security from two thousand twenty to twenty twenty-four.

Politically unaffiliated, Schoof led a coalition government that included the PVV, VVD, NSC, and BBB, which was noted for being the most right-wing coalition in recent Dutch history. However, this coalition collapsed in June twenty twenty-five, after which he continued to serve as a caretaker Prime Minister until February twenty twenty-six.
