Edvaldo Alves de Santa Rosa, known to the world as Dida, was born on March twenty-six, nineteen thirty-four. A talented Brazilian footballer, he made his mark as both a forward and an attacking midfielder. His career was most notably tied to Flamengo, where he became a legendary figure, scoring a remarkable two hundred forty-four goals, making him the second highest scorer in the club's history.

Dida's prowess on the field earned him a place in the national team, where he was capped six times between nineteen fifty-eight and nineteen sixty-one. His international career peaked during the victorious nineteen fifty-eight World Cup in Sweden, where he contributed four goals to Brazil's triumph.

After hanging up his boots, Dida dedicated himself to nurturing the next generation of football talent. He remained with Flamengo for two decades, focusing on the club's youth teams and ensuring that his legacy would continue through the players he coached.
