Didier Claude Deschamps, born on 15 October 1968, is a distinguished French football manager and former player, widely recognized for his tactical acumen and leadership on the field. Known affectionately as Dédé, he has been at the helm of the France national team since 2012, guiding them to remarkable successes, including a FIFA World Cup victory in 2018.

As a player, Deschamps was a formidable defensive midfielder, showcasing his skills across several prestigious clubs in France, Italy, England, and Spain. His career highlights include being part of the Marseille squad that won the UEFA Champions League in 1993, making him the youngest captain to achieve this feat.
