Didier Queloz

Didier Queloz, born on February twenty-third, nineteen sixty-six, is a distinguished Swiss astronomer and astrophysicist. He holds the esteemed position of Jacksonian Professor of Natural Philosophy at the University of Cambridge, where he also serves as a fellow of Trinity College. In addition, he is a professor of physics at ETH Zurich, contributing significantly to the field of astrophysics.

Queloz is renowned for his groundbreaking discovery in nineteen ninety-five, when he, alongside Michel Mayor, identified 51 Pegasi b, the first extrasolar planet orbiting a Sun-like star.
