Dina Asher-Smith

Dina Asher-Smith, born on December fourth, nineteen ninety-five, is a distinguished British sprinter renowned for her prowess in the 60 metres, 100 metres, and 200 metres events. Since her international debut in two thousand eleven, she has etched her name in history as the fastest British woman, holding national records across all three sprint distances.

Her remarkable achievements include a gold medal in the 200 metres, a silver in the 100 metres, and another silver in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2019 World Championships, where she also broke her own British records. Asher-Smith made history as the first Briton to secure three medals at a single World Championships, further adding to her accolades with a bronze in the 200 metres at the 2022 World Championships.

In the Olympic arena, she has been a formidable competitor, earning bronze medals in the 4 × 100 metres relay at both the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and a silver medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Individually, her highest Olympic finish was a narrow fourth place in the 200 metres at the 2024 Games, missing a medal by a mere two-hundredths of a second.

Asher-Smith's early career was marked by significant milestones, including winning the 2013 European Junior 200 metres title and the 2014 World Junior 100 metres title. In July 2015, she became the first British woman to run under eleven seconds for the 100 metres and subsequently broke a thirty-one-year-old British record in the 200 metres at the 2015 World Championships.
