Ding Junhui, born on April 1, 1987, is a renowned Chinese professional snooker player who has made an indelible mark on the sport. He is celebrated as the most successful Asian player in snooker history, having secured fifteen major ranking titles throughout his illustrious career. His achievements include three UK Championships, won in the years two thousand five, two thousand nine, and two thousand nineteen, and he made history in two thousand fourteen by becoming the first Asian player to attain the world number one ranking.

Beginning his snooker journey at the tender age of nine, Ding quickly rose to prominence in the sport. His breakthrough came in two thousand two when he clinched both the Asian Under-21 Championship and the Asian Championship. By the age of fifteen, he had already etched his name in history as the youngest winner of the IBSF World Under-21 Championship.
