Adolfo Bresciano, born on August 6, 1948, is better known in the wrestling world as Dino Bravo. This Italian Canadian professional wrestler made a significant impact in the sport, particularly in Montreal during the 1970s. Under the guidance of Gino Brito, Bravo honed his skills and quickly rose to prominence in Lutte Internationale, becoming one of Canada's top wrestling stars.
Throughout his illustrious career, Bravo captured numerous prestigious titles, including the Canadian International Heavyweight Championship six times, the NWA Canadian Heavyweight Championship (Toronto version), and the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship. His success continued when he joined the World Wide Wrestling Federation, where he teamed up with Dominic DeNucci to win the WWWF World Tag Team Championship. Additionally, Bravo was the sole holder of the WWF Canadian Championship before the title was retired in nineteen eighty-six.
However, Bravo's life took a darker turn after he stepped away from the wrestling ring. He became embroiled in organized crime, allegedly associated with the Cotroni crime family in Montreal. This shift in his life culminated in tragedy when he was murdered in March nineteen ninety-three at his home in Laval, Quebec, in what appeared to be a gangland execution. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unsolved, leaving a haunting legacy in the world of professional wrestling.
