Director X

Julien Christian Lutz, widely recognized as Director X, was born on October 31, 1975. This Canadian creative powerhouse has made a significant mark in the entertainment industry as a music video director, film director, and rapper. His journey began under the mentorship of the renowned Hype Williams, which laid the foundation for his illustrious career.

Since 1998, Director X has directed over one hundred music videos across a diverse array of genres. His impressive portfolio includes collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, such as Jay-Z, Drake, Future, John Mayer, Kanye West, DJ Khaled, Usher, Ice Cube, Little Mix, Fabolous, Fifth Harmony, Mystikal, and Akon. Each project showcases his unique vision and ability to elevate the artists' narratives through compelling visuals.

In addition to his work in music, Director X ventured into film with the release of the crime thriller Superfly in 2018. Although the film received mixed reviews, it demonstrated his versatility and ambition as a filmmaker. More recently, in 2023, he created the action drama series Robyn Hood, further expanding his influence in television.
