Distria Krasniqi

Distria Krasniqi, born on December tenth, nineteen ninety-five, is a distinguished judoka from Kosovo, renowned for her exceptional achievements in the sport of judo.

She made history by clinching the gold medal in the women's forty-eight kilogram judo event at the twenty twenty Summer Olympics held in Tokyo. Following this remarkable victory, she continued to showcase her talent on the international stage, earning a silver medal in the women's fifty-two kilogram judo event at the twenty twenty-four Summer Olympics in Paris.

In addition to her Olympic success, Krasniqi has also proven her prowess in world competitions, securing two bronze medals at the World Championships and being crowned European champion three times. Her contributions to the sport have not gone unnoticed, as she was honored with the Honour of the Nation Decoration of Albania in August twenty twenty-one by the President of Albania.
