Dominique Anglade

Dominique Anglade, born on January thirty-first, nineteen seventy-four, is a distinguished Canadian engineer and businesswoman who has made significant strides in the political landscape of Quebec. She served as the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party and held the position of leader of the Opposition from May eleventh, twenty twenty to December first, twenty twenty-two. Her tenure as a member of the National Assembly of Quebec spanned from two thousand fifteen to two thousand twenty-two, representing the Saint-Henri–Sainte-Anne constituency.

As a trailblazer, Anglade holds the distinction of being the first woman to lead the Quebec Liberal Party, as well as the first black woman to head a provincial party in Canada. Notably, she is also recognized as the first individual of Haitian descent to serve as a cabinet minister in Canada. Her leadership has paved the way for greater representation and diversity within Canadian politics.

Dominique Anglade is the daughter of the esteemed academic Georges Anglade, which highlights her roots in a family dedicated to education and public service. In addition to her political achievements, she was the first woman to assume the role of CEO at Montréal International, further showcasing her leadership capabilities in both the business and political arenas.
