Dominique Dawes, born on November twentieth, nineteen seventy-six, is a retired American artistic gymnast celebrated for her remarkable contributions to the sport. Known affectionately in the gymnastics community as 'Awesome Dawesome', she was a dedicated member of the U.S. national gymnastics team for a decade. Dawes achieved significant milestones, including being crowned the U.S. all-around senior National Champion in nineteen ninety-four and earning the distinction of a three-time Olympian.

Her Olympic journey is particularly noteworthy; she was a vital member of the gold-medal-winning 'Magnificent Seven' team at the nineteen ninety-six Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Additionally, she secured an Olympic bronze medal on the floor exercise during the same games. In two thousand twenty, she became a minority owner of the NWSL’s Washington Spirit, under the ownership of Michele Kang. More recently, in two thousand twenty-four, she was announced as a Limited Partner with the Atlanta Falcons ownership group, led by Arthur Blank, further showcasing her diverse interests and commitment to sports.
