Don Mattrick

Don Mattrick, born on February thirteenth, nineteen sixty-four, is a prominent Canadian businessman and computer scientist. He co-founded Distinctive Software (DSI) in nineteen eighty-two at the young age of seventeen, while still in high school and attending Simon Fraser University, where he pursued studies in business and managerial economics.

Under Mattrick's leadership, DSI grew to become the largest independent game developer in North America. The company caught the attention of Electronic Arts, which acquired it in nineteen ninety-one. Following the acquisition, Mattrick spent fifteen years at EA Canada, ultimately serving as the president of Worldwide Studios, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the gaming landscape.

In two thousand seven, Mattrick transitioned to Microsoft, taking on the role of president of the Interactive Entertainment Business. His tenure at Microsoft was marked by significant innovations, including the development of the Kinect for Xbox 360, which revolutionized motion gaming.

From two thousand thirteen to two thousand fifteen, Mattrick served as the CEO of Zynga, a publicly traded social gaming company, where he continued to influence the gaming industry.
