Donald Andrews

Donald Andrews, a distinguished Canadian economist, has made significant contributions to the field of econometrics. Currently, he holds the prestigious position of Tjalling Koopmans Professor of Economics at the Cowles Foundation, Yale University.

Born in Vancouver in nineteen fifty-five, Andrews pursued his academic journey with great dedication. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in nineteen seventy-seven from the University of British Columbia, followed by a Master of Arts in statistics in nineteen eighty at the University of California, Berkeley. His academic excellence culminated in a Ph.D. in economics, which he also obtained from Berkeley in nineteen eighty-two.

Andrews has published extensively in the renowned journal Econometrica, showcasing his expertise and research in econometrics. His affiliation with the Yale Department of Statistics further highlights his interdisciplinary approach and commitment to advancing economic theory and practice.
