Donald Henderson

Donald Henderson, born on September seventh, nineteen twenty-eight, was a distinguished American physician and epidemiologist renowned for his pivotal role in global health. He spearheaded a monumental ten-year international initiative from nineteen sixty-seven to nineteen seventy-seven that successfully eradicated smallpox, a feat that remains one of the greatest achievements in public health history. From nineteen seventy-seven until nineteen ninety, Henderson served as the Dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, where he influenced countless students and professionals in the field.
