Donald Oliver

Donald H. Oliver, born on November 16, 1938, was a distinguished Canadian lawyer, politician, and educator. His remarkable career spanned several fields, including law, real estate development, and academia. Appointed to the Senate of Canada by former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, Oliver made history as the first black male senator and the second black Canadian to serve in this esteemed chamber, holding office from 1990 until 2013.
