Donna Brazile, born on December fifteenth, nineteen fifty-nine, is a prominent American political strategist, campaign manager, and political analyst. She has made significant contributions to the Democratic Party, notably serving as the first African-American woman to direct a major presidential campaign when she managed Al Gore's campaign in the year two thousand.

Throughout her career, Brazile has been involved in numerous presidential campaigns for Democratic candidates, including Jesse Jackson and Walter Mondale–Geraldine Ferraro in nineteen eighty-four, as well as Dick Gephardt during the nineteen eighty-eight Democratic primary. Her expertise in political strategy has made her a respected figure in the political arena.

Brazile has held the position of acting Chair of the Democratic National Committee on two occasions, first in the spring of twenty eleven and again from July twenty-sixteen to February twenty-seventeen.
