Doug Bodger

Doug Bodger, born on June eighteenth, nineteen sixty-six, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who made a significant impact in the National Hockey League. Selected ninth overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the nineteen eighty-four NHL Draft, Bodger's career spanned over one thousand games, showcasing his talent primarily with the Buffalo Sabres. His journey also included notable tenures with the Penguins and San Jose Sharks, alongside shorter stints with the New Jersey Devils, Los Angeles Kings, and Vancouver Canucks towards the end of his professional career.

Before making his mark in the NHL, Bodger was a standout player in the Western Hockey League, where he earned recognition as the best defenceman on the Kamloops Junior Oilers not once, but twice.
