Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Doug Ford

Douglas Robert Ford Jr., born on November 20, 1964, is a prominent Canadian politician and businessman, currently serving as the twenty-sixth premier of Ontario. He has held the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario since 2018 and represents the Toronto riding of Etobicoke North in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

Ford's business acumen is evident through his co-ownership of Deco Labels and Tags, a printing enterprise established by his father, Doug Ford Sr. This family business operates across Canada and the United States. Prior to his provincial career, Ford was a city councillor for Ward 2 Etobicoke North from 2010 to 2014, during which time his brother, Rob Ford, served as the mayor of Toronto. In the 2014 Toronto mayoral election, Doug Ford placed second to John Tory.

In 2018, Ford transitioned to provincial politics, winning the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party. Under his leadership, the party has achieved three consecutive majority governments in the general elections of 2018, 2022, and 2025. As premier, he has implemented significant changes, including reducing the size of the Toronto City Council and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic with various measures.

Ford's tenure has not been without controversy, notably surrounding the Greenbelt scandal. His political style has evolved from a conservative and right-wing populist approach to a more centrist position, particularly in response to the challenges posed by the federal Liberal government during the pandemic and other national issues.
