Doug Morrison

Doug Morrison, born on February 1, 1960, is a notable Canadian former professional ice hockey player. His career spanned from 1980 to 1992, during which he made a significant impact in the National Hockey League (NHL) and various minor leagues.

Morrison played a total of twenty-three games in the NHL, primarily with the Boston Bruins between the years of 1980 and 1985. During the 1980-81 season, he achieved a remarkable feat by scoring seven goals, with his first NHL goal coming on November 27, 1980, in a thrilling three-three tie against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Boston Garden.

One of the highlights of Morrison's career was his impressive hat trick against the Los Angeles Kings on December 14, 1980, where he scored all three goals consecutively in the third period. While his time in the NHL was brief, the majority of his professional journey unfolded in the American Hockey League and later in Europe.

Doug comes from a hockey family; he is the brother of Mark Morrison, who also played in the NHL. Their sister is married to Garth Butcher, another fellow Canadian hockey player, further emphasizing the family's deep roots in the sport.
