Douglas Crosby, born on June twenty-eighth, nineteen forty-nine, is a distinguished Canadian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the ninth Bishop of Hamilton from two thousand ten until two thousand twenty-five, following a notable tenure as Bishop of St. George’s Corner Brook in Newfoundland and Labrador from two thousand three to two thousand seven, and as Bishop of Corner Brook and Labrador from two thousand seven to two thousand ten.

In the fall of two thousand fifteen, Crosby was elected as the president-elect of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) during their Plenary Assembly. He officially took office at the conclusion of the assembly, succeeding Archbishop Paul-André Durocher of the Archdiocese of Gatineau, Quebec. His leadership within the conference was marked by a commitment to the values and mission of the Church.

As a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Bishop Crosby's role as a bishop places him under the direct authority of the Pope. His presidency of the CCCB lasted for two years, concluding in two thousand seventeen when Bishop Lionel Gendron was elected as his successor.
